OUR MISSION
Rescue the Rescuers is a Christ-centered ministry dedicated to serving the global fire service community and their families. First responders stand on the front lines of physical and spiritual battles, sacrificing daily to protect the lives and property of others.
Our mission is twofold: to help equip firefighters for the hazards of their earthly calling and to anchor their lives in the eternal hope of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Through practical assistance, life-saving equipment, training, encouragement, relationship building, and Gospel-centered outreach, we seek to serve those who have committed their lives to serving others.
OUR VISION
We envision a global fire service community in which firefighters are better equipped to perform their duties safely, families are strengthened and supported, and men, women, and children throughout the fire service family are given the opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
We desire to see firefighters return safely home to the families who wait for them while also building relationships that open doors for spiritual encouragement, biblical truth, discipleship, and lasting hope in Christ.
Ultimately, our vision is to rescue those who spend their lives rescuing others—helping them become secure not only in the line of duty, but for eternity in Christ.
WHY WE SERVE
We believe the calling of a firefighter is noble and worthy of honor. Fire service personnel work tirelessly to provide for their households while placing themselves in harm’s way to protect their communities.
Like the Apostle Paul, who worked with his hands while carrying out the ministry God entrusted to him, firefighters faithfully fulfill the responsibilities of their vocation while serving others.
Because of the dangers inherent in that calling, Rescue the Rescuers seeks to come alongside fire departments—particularly those with limited resources—by helping provide essential equipment, practical assistance, and life-saving training needed to operate as safely and effectively as possible in hazardous environments.
We want every firefighter to have the opportunity to return home safely to the family waiting for them.
HEART OF OUR MINISTRY
While protecting lives is an important part of our ministry, physical preservation is not our ultimate purpose.
The heart of Rescue the Rescuers is the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Our desire is to bring the good news of Christ to firefighters and to everyone connected to the fire service family. We seek to cultivate relationships that provide opportunities for spiritual support, encouragement, hope, healing, biblical discipleship, and the sharing of God's Word.
Our ministry extends beyond the fire station to the spouses, children, and families who stand behind those who serve.
By helping strengthen fire departments with practical resources while bringing the light of biblical truth into the lives and homes of firefighters, we seek to minister to the whole person—physically, relationally, and spiritually.

• Support firefighter families through encouragement, prayer, biblical truth, and Christian fellowship.
• Partner with churches, ministries, firefighters, departments, and supporters to expand Christ-centered outreach.
ABOUT US
Danny & Becki Davis
Danny and Becki Davis serve through Rescue the Rescuers, a ministry initiative of Global Surge. Danny brings 31 years of service with the Houston Fire Department, retiring as a District Chief, and is a graduate of Louisiana Baptist Theological Seminary. Together, they desire to come alongside firefighters, fire departments, and their families through practical support, encouragement, relationship building, and Gospel-centered outreach. Their heart is to help meet real needs within the fire service while sharing the hope of Jesus Christ.
